For the thing you keep putting off
Another productivity system won't help much with this one. What helps is seeing what you're avoiding, which is usually written all over your own entries. Pausa reads them back.
Free to start on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

The task itself isn't hard. You could do the first step in twenty minutes. And yet the week fills up with other things that feel urgent, and on Friday it's still sitting there, a little heavier than on Monday.
Procrastination rarely says what it's about. Fear of finding out the work isn't good. Not wanting to need help. A version of the project in your head that's nicer than any real one could be. Those reasons show up in your writing long before you'd say them out loud.
Pausa reads across your entries and names what's underneath the delay, plainly, so the next Monday starts with the real obstacle instead of a new to-do app.
What that looks like
Didn't touch the application again. Cleaned the whole kitchen instead. I'll do it Monday when I can focus properly.
“When I can focus properly” has postponed the application four Fridays in a row. Each time, the entry before it mentions what your old professor will think of the essay.
An illustration. Pausa only works from what you write, so it gets sharper the more you do.
How it works
The moment you notice you're avoiding it. Say what you're doing instead, and what you're telling yourself.
One entry is just a bad day, but the same ending six times is a pattern. Pausa reads all of them, not just today's.
Plainly, in a sentence or two. No streaks, no scores, and no pep talk when your own words say otherwise.
We'd rather lose you as a user than waste your time.
