For deciding whether you want kids
Your mother has an opinion. Your friends have kids, or strong reasons not to. The calendar has a deadline. Pausa is a place to work out which of those thoughts are actually yours.
Free to start on iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Every conversation about it ends up being about someone else. What your partner hopes, what your parents keep hinting at, what your friend said at the baby shower. By the end you know everyone's position except your own.
Write about it for a few weeks and the voices start to separate. Some entries sound like you. Others sound like a sentence you've heard so many times you started saying it yourself.
Pausa reads those entries back and points out the difference: when you write about the decision in your own words, and when you're arguing with someone who isn't in the room.
What that looks like
Lunch with Mom. She asked again, and I said we're thinking about it. On the drive home I realized I said “we” and I don't actually know what I think.
In your entries about kids, “should” shows up eleven times and “want” twice. Both times you wrote “want”, it was about the trip you keep postponing.
An illustration. Pausa only works from what you write, so it gets sharper the more you do.
How it works
After the conversation that gets to you. Write what you said, then what you actually think.
One entry is just a bad day, but the same ending six times is a pattern. Pausa reads all of them, not just today's.
Plainly, in a sentence or two. No streaks, no scores, and no pep talk when your own words say otherwise.
We'd rather lose you as a user than waste your time.
