For coaches · How it works · Updated OCT 09, 2026
Pausa sits in the gap between your sessions. Your client uses it on their own, you keep doing the work only you can do, and nothing about it adds hours to your week.
01
You apply
And Vicky writes back personally to set you up.
02
You share the link
With your clients, all of them or three to start. When 5 of them have signed up, your own Premium is free for two months.
03
Your clients journal
By voice or text, in the app or on WhatsApp, whenever something's on their mind. Two minutes is enough.
04
Every week they get a recap
Of what repeated, what shifted and what got avoided, and they can forward it to you before your session.

01
The journal.
They write or talk, and Pausa reads it in the context of everything they've written before. It names the pattern and asks the question they're avoiding. There are no streaks, scores or badges, so nothing pulls them back except whether it was useful.

02
The weekly recap.
It arrives every week without being asked. It shows them what keeps repeating, what changed, and what they've stayed away from.

03
The coach.
When they want to think something through, they can talk to Pausa's coach. It's direct and honest, draws on CBT and neuroscience principles, and remembers their whole history, including what they wrote months ago.
| What | You see it? |
|---|---|
| Your client's entries | No. Their writing stays theirs. |
| Their weekly recap | Only if they forward it to you. |
| Your cohort's activity (numbers only: how many kept reflecting, how many went quiet) | On request, from 5 clients. Never about a named client, and never below 5, so no one can be identified. |
| Research on why clients like yours drop out (Pausa-wide usage patterns + published studies) | Yes. Usage patterns only, never anyone's writing. |
| Anything about a named client | Never, from Pausa directly. |
That line is deliberate. Clients write the true version only when they know nobody is reading over their shoulder, and the true version is what makes the recap worth bringing to your session.
Pausa doesn't run your programme, set goals for your clients or deliver coaching. It isn't therapy and doesn't replace professional care. Its job is narrower: keeping your client honest and moving in the days you're not there, so the deeper work can happen with you.
The research behind that gap is on why coaching clients drift between sessions.
FAQ
No. There's no dashboard to learn and nothing to configure. You share a link, and your clients start on their own.
Neither. We don't pay commissions for referrals into personal conversations, and we don't charge you. Once 5 of your clients have signed up through your link, your own Pausa Premium is free for two months. There's also an arrangement for your clients, which we explain once you apply.
They can adjust how direct Pausa is in settings. It never switches to simply agreeing with them, because that would defeat the purpose.
Yes, and we recommend it. Download Pausa and use it for a week before you share it with anyone.
