For the third time around

Before you reply, read how the last two times went.

Pausa keeps the cycle in your own words: the good stretch, the same fight, the breakup, the message. So when the next one arrives, you decide with the whole story in front of you.

A Pausa recap surfacing the loop from the last few weeks

It always starts with a message that sounds different. They've been thinking. Things have changed. It's easy to believe, because the version of the relationship you remember at 1am is mostly the good part.

What you wrote at the time is less generous. With the entries from the last round right there, the fourth try looks a lot like the third, and you can see it before you answer.

Pausa reads those entries back and names the cycle: how long the good stretch usually lasts, what the fight is always about, and what you said you wouldn't do again.

What that looks like

Your entry, Friday, 1:12am
Sam texted. Says things are different now and wants to try again, for real this time. I miss Sam so much. Maybe this time is different.
Pausa, a few weeks of entries later
You wrote “maybe this time is different” in February and again in June. Both times the good stretch lasted about five weeks and ended with the same fight about plans that never included you.

An illustration. Pausa only works from what you write, so it gets sharper the more you do.

How it works

  1. 01

    Get it out

Before you answer the message. Write the reply you want to send, then see what Pausa notices.

  2. 02

    It reads across weeks

One entry is just a bad day, but the same ending six times is a pattern. Pausa reads all of them, not just today's.

  3. 03

    It says what it sees

Plainly, in a sentence or two. No streaks, no scores, and no pep talk when your own words say otherwise.

We'd rather lose you as a user than waste your time.
